What You Should Know
If you take care of an aging parent,
relative or friend,
you are not alone. During any given
year in the United States,
an estimated 50 million family members
or other non-professional
caregivers provide services for elders
living at home, with their caregiver,
or in a residential care facility. These
services may include transportation,
home or lawn maintenance, bill paying, help
with dressing, meals, medication
or nursing aid. More than 17 percent of caregivers
are providing 40 hours of care a week |
